We are migrating from Delphix Version 5.1.4.0 to 5.2.3.1 .What will be the challenges related to Inventory mapping ,post_script (sql scripts), algorithms ,lookup tables , mapplets etc for masking Oracle database ? Will all the settings remain intact or do we have to manually setup sql scripts in jobs , setup lookup tables, algorithms or mapplets again in the newer version ?

    Hi SUPRIYO,

In general manner upgrades and hotfixes changes only the OS, introduces new functionalities and fixes (ex. spécific toolkits (connectors).

al thing you have mentioned(mapping, post_scripts ...) are retained insied delphix internal database and this one is retained or upgraded with it's data if necessary (ex if the schema changes).

After the upgrade you will end up with new functionalities may be GUI changes a lot between the 5.1 and 5.3 version, but you will not loos any of you precedent configuration

Also, feel free to take a look on those links

Thanks Mouhssine for sharing these informations. But from my past experience i have seen that mapplets (xml programs) failed as one version was expecting semicolon while other was not. And there were instances where IP address was creating problem and also we had to upload the xml prgrams, sql scripts in the target version.

Also it would be great if you have a problem center where all the different error codes and their possible solutions are listed.

    Thanks once again.
