    Hi All,

How does a Binary Lookup Algorithm function? What should the binary lookup file contain?

Can someone show a sample of lookup file as well as the result after application of binary lookup algorithm..

    Thanks,
    Swathy

    Hi Swathy,
    1) Binary SL algorithm will convert the target column with the lookup value(s).
    2) You can upload a file same/similar to content of your target column to mask ( it can be xml, jpeg or pdf too), it should be similar to size of your existing data size.

    Thank you Hims.

Is that Ok if I have junk values in my lookup file?

The Binary SL algorithm does not parse the contents of the lookup file.
Usually users upload only 1 small file like a .jpeg or .pdf (few KBs in size)and use that to mask all the target values.

    Hi Hims,

I want to mask an Varbinary(max) image column with a single image for a selected rows and another image for other selection of rows in a same column. How can I achieve this using Binary Lookup Algo?

Separate need posted in the thread. Please reference the new conversation here: How do I mask a Varbinary image column?
