  • 1.  Error Message java.lang.AssertionError while running Snapsync on the dSource database

I am getting the below error message when the SnapSync runs on the dsource database

Failed to format empty blocks of database "DSOURCE_DB" due to: java.lang.AssertionError: sanityCheck failed. Length not multiple of blocksize. Hole info. Datafile: 6_6.dbf (6_6) with blocksize: 131072, hole info: Offset: 1835008, Length: 32210427904.

I am running the version - Delphix Engine 4.2.4.0.

    Any thoughts?

Hey Charles, I did a quick look this morning and it appears you are encountering a rare bug. The good news is that we have identified and squashed it in 4.2.4.1, which should be out shortly. If you are a current customer of Delphix, please log a support ticket so that we can add you to the list of people to be notified. I will ask to see if there is a workaround.

Do you currently have Validated Sync enabled on your DSOURCE_DB?

    Hi Adam,

Yes I have validated sync configured for the DSOURCE_DB.

Ok. Until 4.2.4.1 is released, the work around is to disable Validated Sync.

I disabled the validated sync and tried to take a manual SnapShot. But i am getting the same error message. Do I have to remove the dsource database and reconfigure it back?
