I am changing from oracle vm virtual box to VMware- trying to install the VMware Linux target but it keeps bringing up the oracle virtual box. I installed the VMware Linux source with no issues, do I need to uninstall the oracle virtual box for this to work with VMware?

I am assuming you are on Step 6, which says it should be skipped if you are on Delphix Express.
Exit out and proceed to step 7.

If you can't, check to ensure your web browser isn't trying to use a web proxy for this local address.
Also, try to ping that IP.
