    Hi,

When we say incremental backup for delphix, so what is the source point for incremental backup..is it when d-source created or from last snap sync...

What do you mean with "incremental backup for delphix". Are you referring to a particular section of the documentation?

When performing incremental replication, the source for the incremental backup is the serialization point snapshot that was created to be the "target" for the previous incremental backup.  For example, if you replicate once a day, then the incremental backup source will be the snapshot created a day earlier, and the amount of data you need to replicate will be proportional to the changes you've made in the past 24 hours.

    Hello Paul,

Thanks for your explanation...so if we will drop any older snapshot so we will not be able to provision...because we lost one day incremental backup...

That is not true.  If you've replicated snapshots for monday, tuesday, and wednesday, deleting the monday snapshot on the replication target will not prevent you from receiving a thursday snapshot, nor will it stop you from provisioning a VDB based on tuesday's snapshot.  DXFS uses these incremental backups to reconstruct the database just as it exists on the source, but once it's done so, the snapshots are only necessary if you wish to provision from them.
