So, I thought I'd kick this off...
I started my career in tech as an information developer many moons ago… and spent that time creating documentation, managing teams, and architecting new ways to get information in front of those that need or want it – at the point of pain. Sometime around 2006, the power and usefulness of community became central to my focus and the community voice (the engaged customer voice) became the one I wanted to amplify in my career. Since this epiphany, I have run successful communities from within engineering teams, marketing teams, partner teams, and customer success & education teams.
Here at Delphix, I am a member of our education team, under the umbrella of customer success. It is a perfect home for community and knowledge base, as we grow and expand and explore ways and means to provide just-in-time knowledge when and where it is most needed.
I enjoy being a part of and watching ideas come to fruition, watching people succeed, bringing people of like minds together both physically and virtually, and building altruistic, if competitive, communities of people looking to provide solutions to difficult problems in the fields of security, system management, and network/application/database management.
I am super interested in knowing how you currently use and how you want to use our solution and seeing how you will expand and adapt the product to your needs from an open-source perspective.
Feel free to reach out at any time,
Michael

Subject: Introduce Yourself!
Hi!
This thread has been created to help us become a more connected community. We want you here, and we want everyone to know a little bit about each and every one of us. You don't have to be a DBA or CIO or CSO to have an important voice in our community. We want to hear from each and every one of you, whether you are a Delphix customer, a Delphix employee, a Delphix partner, a prospect doing research on database solutions, an open-source enthusiast looking for a new project, or just looking around-you are welcome here.
Please introduce yourself using the response capability of this thread providing your name, a brief message about your experience (with databases, with development, with writing, with code, with Delphix, with whatever you'd like) and why you've joined and what you hope to find, engage in, or be a part of here.
Thank you,
The Community Team here at Delphix
