    We want to create a vdb in an environment on one node and then move the vdb to a different node later on.  Is this possible?

    Sure, you can do it. This is the migration feature. To migrate a VDB, open the VDB card, disable the VDB, then click the migrate icon in the bottom right hand corner. You can select a new environment where the VDB should run and then enable the VDB in the new environment.
