We are creating a PowerShell wrapper around the API. We have the following use case from our DBA's

Use case: Delete / Disable VDBs older than 'n' number of days

Looking at the source entity, the API does not expose any such meta data.

Sample (taken from engine Delphix Engine

"config": "MSSQL_SINGLE_CONFIG-1253", "configParams": null, "container": "MSSQL_DB_CONTAINER-1745", "description": null, "enabled": true, "fileMappingRules": null, "mountBase": "C:\Program Files\Delphix\DelphixConnector\564d490d-324c-eb3d-ffb5-8a67f2c9dd39-vdb-771", "name": "My_Source_name_20140722", "namespace": null, "postScript": null, "preScript": null, "reference": "MSSQL_VIRTUAL_SOURCE-771", "runtime": { "accessible": true, "databaseSize": 845206257664.0, "notAccessibleReason": null, "recoveryModel": "SIMPLE", "status": "RUNNING", "type": "MSSqlSourceRuntime" }, "staging": false, "status": "DEFAULT", "type": "MSSqlVirtualSource", "virtual": true }

At the moment we enforce a VDB naming convension {name}_{yyyyMMdd}. We then parse the end of the VDB name to determine the day it was created.

However if would be much better if the API could expose that meta-data for the source and database entity.

Hey Edward,
After speaking to a few Engineers this feature is slated to come out in a future release of Delphix, when it is released I will let you know!
Thanks for the feedback!
