Hi,

you have to change the delphix_admin user password to "landshark" to get things working.

Hi , Thanks for your revert But, I had set the password as "landshark" only , I am logging with these id only . ID=delphix_admin, Password=landshark.

Please suggest I am not able to setup auto configured demo sources.

Hi, I am sorry to sya I tried rebooting all VM's 2 - 3 times, But no positive result. And one more thing in web UI screen we are able to see some dsources but not able to add because it is asking to enter id and password . I tried with delphix, delphix_admin, landshark. But nothing worked out.

Hi,

To add database manually you have to use the database account "delphixdb" with the password "delphixdb".

But to me if you reboot the mashines the script will make some time to trigger everything, you can check what's going on by checking the lanshark_setup.log

On the Linuxsource, login as the delphix user. What is the output of these commands?

free -m
source /home/delphix/XE.env
lsnrctl status
sqlplus delphixdb/delphixdb@XEXE

Official Response
Ok. I figured as much. You changed your Linuxsource to run on 1GB RAM? The database will fail to start that way. Your VM's, at a minimum, need to each have 2GB of RAM, though 4GB is recommended.

Delphix Express : 2GB
Linuxsource : 2GB
LinuxTarget : 2GB

Thank you Adam, Actually in our organization we are trying to get it install and do demo to clients. I have already raised request to our computers and hardware dept for RAM Upgrade. Please help me to understand my these below doubts:

1.) So I am going to shut down all Guests VM before RAM upgrade , That;s right ?
2.) As i have done almost all setup on this machine/cpu, Now due to Ram Hardware change, will this impact my installation done so far ? will anything impacted or not ?

Thanks,
Aman

1) Yes.

Hi Adam, Till the time i waiting for RAM upgrade from my computer's department, Can you please answer that in videos demos i have seen keeping 2GB of RAM each for DE, SourceVM, TargetVM.
But In https://docs.delphix.com/display/LS/System+Requirements doc it is mentioned to keep 4GB each means 12 GB in total.

Can You please suggest how much i need, My system is Desktop machine, windows 7 OS, 64bit, 4GB(present) - which i have requested to upgrade.

Delphix Express : ?
Linuxsource : ?
LinuxTarget : ?

So that i will make sure to upgrade upto sufficient RAM. under which this system will work.
Thank You.

Sure. No problem. Ultimately, to run all of the labs and content present in the Landshark labs, I would suggest a desktop with at least 16GB of RAM. 4 GB for your OS and other applications, 4GB for your Delphix Express, 4GB for your Landshark Linux Target, and 4GB for your Landshark Linux Source.

If you are only going to do the OracleXE use case on Landshark, then you could get away with assigning only 2GB of RAM to your three Virtual Machines.

Hi Adam, Thanks for the help, I got upgrade of 8GB RAM, and now i am able to see DB under sources. Thank you for your help.

But again it seems some issue is there, Because under sources when i clicked Employee XE DB then on the right hand side provision button is not enabled. I am attaching two screen shots here first is how my overall screen looks like and second in which i clicked on employee XE DB.

Amandeep. Delete the Employee XE DB and reboot the Linuxtarget. On reboot it should correctly add it back.

Hey Adam, Great ! It works. Now i am able to see DB and provision buttons enable. Thank you. You are superb!

Now i have to explore and see how to use and provision and all how i can show demo. If any simple steps you have which can help me further how to use to show demo. That will be helpful and great. Thanks!

Finish following through the other part of the docs, that should give you a great understanding of how to do the basic demo.
