For security reasons I need to change the data before I hand over the DB to the developers. Does Delphix support automatic masking of the data?

You can hook a custom script or third-party app, either pre or post provision in Delphix 3.x. In Delphix 4, there are hooks to enable finer control over that. If you don't have a data masking product, I can recommend Axis DMSuite.

There are a few ways to approach this, depending on whether you want the unmasked data to reside within the Delphix Engine or not (it is secure and in proprietary format btw).

     - Create a masked DB outside Delphix, which you then use as a dSource, and provision VDBs from. This will mean that the source DB may not be in sync with the unmasked data of course (depending on the masking solution).

     - Use the unmasked data to create a dSource, and then use the pre/post script feature of the Delphix console when provisioning a VDB.

There are several third party vendors who produce data masking solutions, such as Axis, Informatica, IBM, Oracle, etc.
