Delphix Experts.... This question is related to mysql dsourcing. We were able to successfully create dsource to mysql database using "mysqldump" dumptype but not with "xtrabackup". Anyone successful earlier using xtrabackup option. Our DBAs are concerned about not using xtrabackup as this db has lot of write transactions. Does delphix support Xtrabackup?

Yes, Delphix supports Xtrabackup. You'll have to manually dump the dbs using Xtrabackup and provide Delphix with the path of the backup directory.

Thank you. We tried earlier in 5.0.2.3 version and it failed. Looks like we have to upgrade our version. From which delphix version this feature is enabled? Any idea

Just want to make sure there's no confusion here. Basically, Delphix supports Xtrabackup for MySQL 5.5 and 5.6 on both Community and Enterprise versions. However, if you're running on MySQL 5.7, the version Delphix supports Xtrabackup is 5.1.5.1.
