I read in the official docs that "The operating system on the target host must be the same as, or binary compatible, with the operating system on the source host".

I have a Red Hat 5.3 32bit as source host and CentOS 6.2 64bit as target host. The Oracle Homes are identical up to the patch number. Do source and host have binary compatible?

If not, there is a chance to move the Physical DB to CentOS 6.2 first?

    Thank you.

    Hi Gianpiero,

You cannot provision from an Oracle source on a 32 bit host to a target 64 bit host. They have to match in order to be considered as a compatible repository for provisioning. Hope that helps.

Thank you. In fact I had to use a 32 bit target and virtualize the Oracle Home.
