Hi all,

Could you help me find Delphix guideline or documentations I can refer for the process related to SAP (SAPinst) after provisioning VDBs in the standard Delphix engine environment?

Hi Yasu,
If I understand the question correctly, we would simply follow the SAP documentation for the post cloning procedures after the VDB is created. There are hooks that you can use to create scripts to assist in automating some of this within Delphix however all the SAP scripts and tasks that need to be ran would be part of the SAP documentation and would be exactly the same as cloning a physical database where an SAP DBA or SAP admin would perform them.
Once the database is created, the list of post cloning steps can vary from customer to customer and there can be 100's of steps and or tasks to complete as part of this process.

As this is an SAP process and not Delphix we do not document the steps as they can vary from customer to customer and version of SAP etc. The only link we have is from our documentation here: http://docs.delphix.com/display/DOCS41/Customizing+SAP+ASE+VDB+Management+with+Hook+Operations
Which discusses our hook operations which I mentioned above.

I have looked for this kind of information, some time ago, on SAP website, to prepare a  Delphix meeting with SAP experts.
I have got these information from a Landscape Virtualization Management document describing SAP system clone, copy and refresh...

You can describe this way what could be done in a clone configuration hook :
 BDLS transaction execution, deactivate RFC destination, empty the message queues, redefine the users,empty the batchs waiting for execution , ...
I have some specific slides (part of them are in french but easy to translate ).  I can share with you if you are interested in...
