Provisioning Failures for "Delphix Dynamic Data Platform for Azure" Image from Azure Marketplace

By Michael Torok posted 04-05-2019 07:03:10 PM

Delphix became aware of VM provisioning failures from the Azure Marketplace via support cases opened by several customers. The outage is due to a Microsoft Azure hypervisor update roll-out which began on March 30, 2019. Delphix and Microsoft Azure are working together to mitigate this issue for our affected customers.

The official Microsoft statement may be viewed in Azure Service Health https://portal.azure.com/#blade/Microsoft_Azure_Health/AzureHealthBrowseBlade

Microsoft has paused the update roll-out to additional nodes until the issue has been resolved.

Please reference the Azure Service Health site for updates.

Sincerely,
The Delphix Team

Update on Microsoft Azure Marketplace VM Boot Issue.

The Microsoft hypervisor update roll-out is paused until the fix has been tested and confirmed.

As long as customers do not stop/deallocate/reboot VMs from the marketplace web, the VMs will continue to run without impact. If marketplace VMs are stopped/started or new VMs created, they will fail.

Please immediately open a case concerning impacted Azure Marketplace VMs. Boot issues will be escalated and reported to Microsoft.
