  • 1.  Unable to associate masking job to dSource - Any limitation?

The database has more than 60+ jobs due to high number of schemas. All masking jobs are enabled with multi tenant option, but some jobs are not showing when tried to associate it to dSource. Is there any limitation for number of jobs with "multitenant" option?

    Hi Santosh,
I checked in with our masking dev team and there are some things you might want to consider in your scenario.
A single masking job cannot be assigned to multiple VDBs simultaneously. If you are using the same masking ruleset on multiple VDBs, be sure to create a unique job for each VDB to avoid any issues with provisioning or refreshing.
also mentioned here in the task "Associating a Masking Job with the dSource" approximately 1/4 the way down the page:
    https://maskingdocs.delphix.com/Securing_Sensitive_Data/Provision_Masked_VDBs/#associating-a-masking...
Click the pencil icon to edit. All masking jobs on this Delphix Engine that have not been associated with another dSource will be listed on the right-hand side.
If the original dSource has been deleted, there is a workaround to associate the job with a new dSource. If that is the case, it might be necessary for you to open a case with our support engineers to help guide you through the CLI-driven process.

    Hope this helps.

    Michael

Thanks for details. I am aware of later part and seems, I am victim of 100 jobs limitation. Is this limitation for respective VDB or dSource?

    Thanks,
    Santosh

    Hi,
Please reach out to our support staff and feel free to point them back to this thread in community. We have a workaround for the 100 job limitation, but we would like to have you engaged with support to walk through the process.

Thank you and we appreciate your patience,
    Michael
