Delphix Engine does not get IP (dhcp off in our network).

Reason: incorrect username or password.

What is the name of your VM? Is it LandsharkEngine 2.0 for VMware or Landshark 2.1.1. for VMware?

Adam is the author of Landshark and he'll certainly find a better (and permanent) solution, but here is what I do when this happens in VMware Fusion on my Mac.

If I've already finished starting the VM for the first time and see the message about "Network Interface not configured" on the VM console, I go to the "Settings" button in the Virtual Machine Library...



...then I select "Network Adapter"...



...then change the setting from "Share with my Mac"...



...to "Private to my Mac"...



...and then restart the virtual machine.  That generally brings up the correct networking on the VM.

I don't run on a Windows PC, but I suspect similar changes to VMware Workstation might help?

Hey Su, You are on the right version then, I have seen this issue in 2.1 beta we are testing.

If you need to assign a static IP, then you are following the correct steps. 

The username in your screenshot is correct. Are you using all lowercase sysadmin as the password?

As long as that screen is green, you can login with those credentials.

Su, we have several people running on that version of VMware ESXi. You should be fine. Did you validate the username and password you were attempting to use?

With new .ova-template the problem has been solved.
Adam, could you please send me new .ova-template "Source&Target" vm's for vmware esxi?
In the letter I received links to vm for VirtualBox.

Su, the links to the Source and Target VM's will work with both VMware and VirtualBox. If you are getting a message about a vbox element, please see this community post:
