Hi Horacio,
For CD engines,
The only real hard limit in Delphix is the number of "containers", this includes dSources, CDB's, and VDBs. In versions prior to 24.0.0.0 this limit was 400, in versions above 24.0.0.0 this limit has been raised to 750. Having said that, what is practical will depend very much on your environment, eg, the type of databases, how heavily utilized they are, etc. An engine with 1 heavily used VDB may require more resources than an engine with 300 lightly used VDBs. Your engine will need to be sized correctly ( network, cpu, memory ) based on the expected workload more so than any artificial "limits".
There are no imposed limits on the number environments or snapshots, however you may very well run into performance constraints at the extremes.
For CC Engines,
I not believe there are any hard limits, again though, the engine will need to be sized appropriately for your workload, an engine which meets the minimum specification is not going to perform well with thousands of rulesets.
Generally engine sizing is a performed by the Delphix services team.

Subject: Engine Limits for Continuous Data and Continuous Compliance
Hello everyone,
I am looking for detailed information regarding the engine limits for both Continuous Data and Continuous Compliance in version 25.0.0.0.
A customer has asked us about the following limits:
- Maximum number of environments, datasets, VDBs, and snapshots per engine or any other internal object type for Continuous Data.
- Maximum number of data connectors, rulesets, masking jobs, or any other internal object type for Continuous Compliance.
Where can I find these details?
Thank you in advance.
