  • 1.  Monitor the size of dSources and VDBs

    Posted 12-09-2024 01:50:00 PM

We have noticed our percent used of Storage Capacity has increased faster than normal over the last month. We're at 81% and 91% storage used on a couple of our engines.

The Resources/Storage Capacity page shows the current size of dSources & VDBs. I'd like to be able to see the size of an object over a period of time so we can reach out to the SME in the event the DB size is trending upward.

Is there a way either through the gui or toolkit scripts that can show the size over a period of time, ie. 30 days?
If I can get this information, we can write a script that would alert us if a DB has increased more than a specified percentage.

    Hi Joseph,

I think the easiest way is to use:

You can also use this other command to get detailed capacity usage (snapshots, logs, etc.) on dSources and VDBs:

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks,

Thanks Neal. I'll take a look at that.
