Hi everyone,

I've been looking for a sizing calculator to help with Continuous Data for a while now. I recently came across this site: https://sizing.delphix.com, but I'm not sure if it's still active or how access is currently managed.

In particular, I'd like to understand how to estimate the appropriate engine storage requirements for ingesting two Oracle databases, each approximately 8TB in size, generating about 40TB (20TB each) of transaction logs per week. TDE and HCC are enabled on these databases. Additionally, masking will be applied to these datasets.

Assuming a 7-day timeflow window with daily SnapSyncs (default) and a 7-day retention period (default), and creating two vDBs, how would the engine storage calculation be approached in this scenario?

Any guidance or documentation you could share would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Horacio, this site is typically reserved for internal Perforce / Delphix employees.  If you talk to your Account Executive and / or Solutions Engineer, they will give you the appropriate SQLs to execute on both the source and targets to identify the rate of redo generated as well at IO demands in the target environments.

The output from these SQLs will be uploaded by the engineers / architects for analysis and give you the information you are looking for.  I hope this helps!
