On August 30th, 2023 the advanced search functionality used for community.delphix.com and academy.delphix.com was found to suffer from a reflected XSS vulnerability: certain user input was not being properly sanitized in a search parameter. The advanced search functionality was immediately disabled while a fix was worked on. This was resolved by implementing additional controls to validate and sanitize user input. This type of vulnerability has the potential to be quite serious and can lead to execution of malicious code in the victim’s browser tab without their knowledge or consent. At Delphix, we are always looking for ways to improve the experience of our customers. With this in mind, our type-ahead search has been updated in the case submission form. Now, as you begin your support journey, our federated search tool will offer relevant information from all our properties based on the title of your case. The results are displayed on the right side of the form and provide optional knowledge sources without interfering with the form. Should one of the surfaced articles apply and you select it, the article will open in a new tab, ensuring you do not lose your place in the form. Connecting is a two way street. When you hover over the name of a community member in a piece of content, view a profile, view the member directory, or view the members tab of a community, you will find the ability to connect. If the member accepts your request, you will connect and they will be visible in you contacts on your profile. This is a good way to collect important contacts and have them at the ready for consultation, engagement, and the sharing of ideas. When setting up your profile security, you can also allow contacts to see more about you than the public or authenticated users. Note: If you accept a connection request, that member can directly ...
