Hi Rahim/Scott,
Yes, I am looking for VDB migration from one host to another host using dxtoolkit.
I have gone through dx_upgrade_db details. It appears there is option to migrate/upgrade from one Oracle Home to another Oracle Home, But there is no option mentioned to change from one host to another host.
Obviously this can be achieved using CLI commands which Scott has mentioned, But I was checking if same feature is available to manage through dxtoolkit?
dxtoolkit makes it pretty simple, but it looks like it is not available. If someone can have a look and have this included, will be great.
Thanks,
Sushil

Hi Sushil,
If you are talking about migrating/moving SourceDB from one host to another then maybe Delphix' V2P (virtual to physical) capability might be useful for you. If you are thinking about moving a virtual database from one host to another then as Scott said DB upgrade might be a solution. All of these commands can be called over API and almost all of them are also put into dx toolkit.

Hi Sushil,
I think that the "dx_upgrade_db" command is what you want (in spite of the confusing name).
Sometimes also referred to as "migration" see also a CLI cookbook example here (for Oracle).

Hi,
Is there any dxtoolkit available to migrate a DB from existing Host Environment to another Host Environment?
Please suggest.
Thanks,
Sushil
