Hi all,
When configuring the VDB templates, can set some values dynamically?
( like we would on a hook )
For example this parameter is always different, on the template can it take variables?
Par_name = /cs/oracle/$DB_name/tmp
Thanks

Ruben,
Oracle does not process or dereference OS environment variables embedded within parameter files (a.k.a. PFILEs), nor within server parameter files (a.k.a. SPFILEs).
The text within Delphix VDB templates are used to directly create an SPFILE. Delphix does not dereference OS environment variables as an earlier processing step prior to creating the SPFILE.
Specifically which Oracle initialization parameter(s) would you like to set in this fashion?
Thank you,
-Tim
