    The minimum RAM required is stated in the installation documents as 64GB.  For a small number (e.g. 10) of lightly used development instances (where generated redo is far less than < 1GB a day) this feels like a very high number.

    This is also half the RAM in one of our ESX Hosts, which makes deploying the machine difficult as we currently don't have that kind of capacity spare.

    Is it possible to run Delphix with less than 64GB, or will it not run at all?

    You can assign any amount of RAM and Delphix will still run. But, you may run into performance other types or issues where support may ask you to meet the minimum amount of RAM as a troubleshooting step.
