    When linking the EBS R12.2 appsTier dSource, documentation says that it will start a DB_Link and DB_Sync. Will this impact end-users actively using the application?

    The initial Sync operation is equivalent to a RMAN level 0/full backup of the apps Tier directory. The application does not need to be stopped and application use/operations can continue as normal.
