Hi Team,


Am planning to connect Production database(on- premises - mssql server type) with delphix engine( vir and masking).so need solutions for doing a basic connection with the below queries:

1)What are basic Database access required for connecting (example: server roles, User roles similarly other..)

2)If DB owner access is necessary to connect, if my client denies to provide DB owner access, they are providing only DB- reader access, what is the possible access necessary for doing connection.

3)Is it compulsory to have DB owner access?

4)what is the most necessary access to have basic connection and update Database in case of masking.

5)DB-reader access is alone enough to make the entire connection?

The requirements for connecting to a new SQL Server DB are outlined in our doc - Quick Start Guide for SQL Server (Microsoft SQL Server on Windows)

For a masking engine, please follow the steps in our documentation, starting with Managing Environments
