  • 1.  Feature Request: Refresh From Aged Snapshots

    Our organization has a requirement for aging certain data for lower environments. Normally, this would be a job for the masking engine, but the complexity of some of our databases makes this unfeasible.

    A helpful feature would be the ability to set the refresh policy to restore from the latest snapshot that is at least x number of days/hours old.  If a snapshot that fits the aging requirement cannot be found, the refresh job would fail.

    Is this a feature that Delphix could add to the virtualization engine roadmap?

    I realize this can be accomplished through the API, but hoping there is enough interest to make it a native feature.

    I've added this as an idea in our enhancement tracking system. As part of my investigation, I'll check with our field teams to gauge the general demand for snapshot aging policies and will prioritize accordingly. Thanks for your feedback!
