Modifying Your Notification Preferences

It is annoying to be emailed excessively by an organization. We understand, and we do not want to frustrate or annoy you. Please adjust your preferences to reflect what type of communications you want to receive. These notifications include system notification, community emails (for example, reminders to review content you created for new activity and suggestions to update your profile), participation emails (these emails are triggered when someone replies to a thread of yours or mentions you or a handful of other actions), and promotional emails. To update your notification preferences:

  1. Log in to the community, and then click your profile picture (or silhouette) at the top right of the window.

  2. Click Profile.
  3. Select the My Account tab, and then click Email Preferences.

  4. Modify the options presented on the Email Preferences window to reflect your needs.
    Email PreferencesNote: If you want to stop receiving emails from a particular community but not all, click Manage Opt-out List and select the communities you do not want to email you.
  5. Review the following table showing what actions are changed when changing the Participation Emails slider. Most members do not turn off these communications.
