Hi everyone,
Let me share an update: After making Database Vault configuration updates at the Source and taking a SnapSync at Delphix, the next vDB from the latest snapshot were provisioned successfully.

Hi Rahim,
One idea is to check in the source if there is any ip restriction rule set, if so just update it accprdinally to your need.to get it into work.

Mouhssine

Subject: Virtual databases and Oracle Database Vault
Hi everyone,
We are having an issue with virtual databases that is related to Oracle Database Vault.
When we provision a virtual database to a Target environment (which has Oracle v12.1 installed) the operation ends with an error in the Delphix with the following error.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
command: umask 027; . $DB_SCRIPT_DIR/setup-oraenv.sh; $DLPX_SHELL $DB_SCRIPT_DIR/doOpenDatabase.sh "$LOGON_STR"
output:END_OF_SETUP
WARNING: cannot read alert log file /export/home/oracle/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/mxuatx/MXUATX/alert/alert_MXUATX.log

ALERT_LOG_FILE_PATH=/export/home/oracle/app/oracle/diag/rdbms/mxuatx/MXUATX/alert/alert_MXUATX.log

Database altered.

When we check the error in detail with Delphix Support we have found out that it is actually related to Oracle Database Vault:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
ERROR:
ORA-47306: 20007: DB Vault Connect Rule -- DB Connection Not Allowed
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
When we tried to disable the Oracle Database Vault using Oracle documentation (Disabling and Enabling Oracle Database Vault) we have still experiencing problems that are related to the Database Vault and the vDB cannot be provisioned successfully.
Oracle | remove preview |
| Disabling and Enabling Oracle Database Vault | Go to main content Periodically you must disable and then re-enable Oracle Database Vault, for activities such as installing Oracle Database optional products or features. Topics: Note: When Oracle Database Vault is disabled, there are some Database Vault features that you can still use. Oracle does not support the deinstallation of Oracle Database Vault. | View this on Oracle > |

We have also noticed that Oracle Passwordfile does not exist in the Oracle DB home.
Any suggestions are welcome!
Best regards,
