how to add multiple WAN connection for same database  to speed up the initial baseline creation process for multi terabyte database. ? can we choose manually number of wan connection   or will Delphix choose optimal number network connection from the total availability ?  correct me if  I am wrong..

I got this question from the below information :::

For example, it can take days to link a database that is multiple terabytes over a single 1GbE WAN connection, as a 1GbE connection has a maximum throughput of around 100MB/s. The linking time can be sped up using 10GbE or even aggregating multiple 10GbE NICs. Smaller databases on fast connections can be linked in minutes. In cases where the initial link may take hours, it can be set up to run during off hours when there is less network traffic (e.g. between midnight and 4AM).

    Hi,

The aggregation of nework cards have to be done at the ESX level and yes the more bandwith you the fast you can link.

Just as an example I linked a 2Tb database with delphix in 4H30min using one 10Gb link on LAN.

At the dsource configuration screen you can use the option "load on snapsync schedule", but please configure a snapsync policy according to your load window. (the job pauses and resumes according to the policy you've defined).

    Regards,

Thanks for the answer ... you will expect more questions about the Delphix from Me .  we have planed to deploy more databases on Delphix .. so I need better understanding when I speak to the clients and during the troubleshooting too.
