  • 1.  dx_get_db_env error on powershell

    While executing dx_get_db_env from powershell, below messages are displayed plenty of times and then the result is displayed. Though I am getting the result as expected, is there a way to suppress these messages?

    Use of uninitialized value in string eq at C:\Users\Mahesh\AppData\Local\Temp\par-613730393030\cache-c958542f27b651ceaa3f99fee531953f9ca15446\inc\lib/Engine.pm line 1064.

    The command being used is 

    .\dx_get_db_env -all -type dsource

    Hello,

    It looks like there was one issue fixed in 2.4.15 but there is still one open issue for the same error:

    • https://github.com/delphix/dxtoolkit/issues?q=is%3Aissue+dx_get_db_env++Use+of+uninitialized+value+in+string+eq

    You might try downloading the latest release ( https://github.com/delphix/dxtoolkit/releases ) to see if it resolves the issue.

    If you still get it with the latest version, they requested that the other user reproduce the error with the "-debug 3" flag.

    Hi Piers,

    Dxtoolkit version you should use is always related to the version of virtualization engine. Version 2.4.14 has been released long time ago

    and since that time virtualization engine API has been changed. 

    The error is related to the timezone and time API and how Delphix engine is presenting it. 

    Please upgrade to the latest dxtoolkit if you have modern engines.
