V2P from vPDB (vCDB) to PDB (CDB)

    Dear Delphix Community,

    We are planning to test V2P migration from vPDB (vCDB) to PDB (CDB) hosted on the same server.

    A hypothetical naming could be as follows:

    Virtual CDB unique name - vCDB

    Virtual PDB name - vPDB

    -----------------------------------------

    Physical CDB - CDB

    Physical PDB (to-be) - PDB_CLONE

    Please note the Physical CDB is ASM based and so would be the to-be physical PDB.

    I am planning on using dx_toolkit for this purpose and below is the command for the same.

    dx_v2p -d delphixengine -sourcename vPDB -dbname PDB_CLONE -environment DEV -type oracle -envinst "/app/oracle/product/19.0.0.0/db_1" -targetDirectory "+DATA" -mapfile "/app/delphix/vdb:+DATA" -instname CDB -uniqname CDB -archiveDirectory "+FRA_MOM" -dataDirectory "+DATA_MOM" -dspconnections=3 -dspusecompression -concurrentfiles=3

    I tried looking for documentation on migrating a vPDB to a physical PDB on an already running CDB instance based on ASM however came across a document exemplifying export CLI utility.

    I am thinking the above process will try to create the physical instance however I am yet to test that.

    Would really appreciate the help in validating if this the correct method considering this requirement.
