I've been involved with data management for 23+ years. My career started in IT services operations at Rover Cars including Land Rover as a Unix admin, helpdesk operative and "tape monkey" duties. This was a springboard for the next 7 years working for specialist data management resellers, designing solutions and deploying market-leading data protection software and associated technology. This was the door opener for my first startup & vendor, Data Domain, as a presales consultant (#3 SE in the UK). Following the acquisition of DD to EMC and several years in the data protection division I spent some years with Actifio, Arcserve and Rubrik before joining the data revolution at Delphix in 2020 as a Solutions Engineer in the midst of the pandemic.
Outside of work I enjoy road cycling, I'm the player-manager of a 5-a-side team, volunteer at a lottery funded community hall and I like to relax by putting vinyl on to my record player from my not so small music collection and go to gigs. I'm looking to do more caravanning with my wife, daughter & son during these unprecedented times and last but not least I support the Champions of England ⚽️ and hope to see stadiums full again when it's safe.
