    This update covers new offerings, features, and functionality changes delivered in June. 

    Three Key Highlights

    • DCS for Azure: Data Masking with Referential Integrity - a new SaaS offering that  provides data masking and retains referential integrity for Azure Data Factory.

    • Enhanced Search Interface in Data Control Tower - a new search interface to search, sort, and filter based on tags, simplifying discovering, controlling, and gating access to data. 

    • Operations Dashboard in Data Control Tower - a new operations dashboard that allows you to better monitor and understand Delphix jobs.

    Data Control Tower (DCT)

    • Operations Dashboard: Monitor and manage enterprise data activities in real time using a new central view. This provides visibility to the current status across the full complement of Delphix transactions, including provision, refresh, teardown, and compliance jobs.

    • Provisioning Wizard Enhancements: The data provisioning wizard has been expanded to support additional types, including Oracle Single Instance Linked CDBs and Microsoft SQL Server Single Instance workflows. This will now allow you to provision more data types directly from Data Control Tower. 

    • Advanced Search Tags Support: The advanced search capabilities now support all user-generated tags. You can use personalized tags related to your unique business needs to refine your search results, such as team names or other specific data points.

    Continuous Compliance

    • Sensitive Data Discovery for Extended Drivers: Additional data sources can be supported by providing third-party JDBC drivers. Automated Sensitive Data Discovery, which aims to identify common sensitive and personally identifiable data elements, now works with these sources.

    • Password Vault Support for Oracle: You can now leverage supported password vaults to manage credentials for Oracle databases.

     

    Continuous Data

    • Support User Audit: In rare cases, you may grant Delphix Support access to your engine to debug or fix issues. Now, this access grant (and any actions taken by support) is tracked in its own audit log. 

    • SMTP TLS: You can now add a certification for SMTP TLS authentication via the API or command line.

    • Refresh/Rewind of Oracle VDBs and VPDBs that have been exported to Oracle ASM Databases: Users may now refresh or rewind Oracle VDBs or VPDBs that have been exported to physical ASM databases. The performance of the export to ASM can also be improved with the ability to specify specific RMAN file section sizes. 

    • IBM DB2: You can now use Staging Push with the Database Partitioning feature (DPF) and custom mount points.

    • MongoDB: You can now pass additional parameters to mongodump and mongorestore. This adds parallel processing and flexibility to improve data extraction and ingestion speeds.

    • MySQL/Linux: You can now restrict the provision and rollback of a VDB to a database version older than the dSource. This eliminates the risk of accidentally putting the VDB in a broken state.

     

    Delphix Compliance Services (DCS)

    • DCS for Azure: Last month, we released DCS for Azure, our offering built in close partnership with Microsoft, which lets you mask data within Azure ETL pipelines (supporting 100+ connectors). This service allows you to bring the same trusted compliance algorithms to the Microsoft cloud, ensuring consistent masking across your organization.
