Hello Andrew,
Thank you for the information.
We are currently utilizing a system within the Azure platform.
Could you please provide steps or guidance for the upgrade process, if any? Your suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi Harsha
That feature was added in version 17.0.0.0, see Continuous Compliance | Release notes | New Features
I would advise upgrading to that version to achieve the functionality you are looking for
Many thanks

Hello Andrew,

This image is from our Delphix engine
We don't have the option to select "Preserve Value" in the "Mask Domain With" feature. We only have two options: Replacement text and Algorithm. This information pertains to version 15.0.0.0 of our Delphix engine.

Hi Harsha
If you don't want to mask the domain portion, please use the "Preserve Value" option for domain, as per our docs:
Again, if I have misunderstood your requirement, please provide some examples of input and output values
Thanks

Hello Andrew ,
I used "gmail.com" as an example, but our database contains various domain names, and the domain part doesn't require masking.
And gmail.com is used in the box Domain Replacement (this cant be left blank).
Thanks,
Harsha

Hi Harsh
In your first message you said you only wanted to mask the username/name portion of the email
But from your second message it sounds like you want to mask the username/name portion, and also change all domains to gmail.com. Have I understood correctly?
If I haven't, it may be useful to provide a couple of examples to explain what you are trying to achieve
I I have understood, you can do this by choosing the "Unique Value" option for the name portion, and pasting in your required gmail.com into the domain replacement text box for the domain portion
The error handling action is described by our documentation
- Select an error handling action for exceptions thrown by chained algorithms:
Exception: default action allowing exceptions from chained algorithms to be handled by global settings.
Character Mapping: masks the name or domain segment causing the exception with the CM Alphanumeric algorithm.
Preserve Value: returns the exception causing segment unmasked.

Hi Andrew,
Our system mandates domain replacement as a required field. Providing "gmail.com" as input ensures that all masked values adopt the "gmail.com" domain.
The documentation includes an error handling action option. Will this pose any issues for masking only the domain part?

if we have any specific algo or expression please let me know
Thanks, Harsha

Hi Harsha
Please refer to the documentation for Email (Algorithm frameworks)
Creating a new algorithm using this framework will allow you to mask only the name portion of the email address, preserving the domain if required
Many thanks
Andrew

Hello all,
We are trying to mask just the username part of the mail address by leaving the domain part unmasked
Thanks,
Harsha
