We are excited to announce the general availability of Delphix 6.0.13 and other recently delivered features in February and March 2022. Full details are available in the community post, release notes for Continuous Data (virtualization) & Continuous Compliance (masking), and the What's New Deck for 6.0.13.
Delphix now offers a comprehensive solution for Salesforce backup and data recovery that efficiently captures incremental change data, using manual or automated scheduling. During downtime or service degradation, teams can easily recover the last known good state and rapidly deploy data back into production or sandbox environments. Additionally, Delphix safeguards data against ransomware using an immutable data time machine, protecting the data record and keeping it accessible.
FluentD is a popular open-source data logging layer for DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to stream telemetry to their chosen monitoring solution to improve systems observability. Delphix already provides the ability to forward data events and performance metrics to Splunk. Delphix 6.0.13 enables additional Fluentd plugins to be added to the engine, extending telemetry output to new tools like ELK, New Relic, and DataDog.
Staging Push for MS SQL - As part of our effort to enable staging push across our platform for data ingest, we have added support for Microsoft SQL Server to our existing support for SAP HANA and IBM DB2. Staging push lets organizations with strict security controls isolate Delphix from directly querying active production environments. Data is instead pushed into Delphix through staging replicas or backups. This enables integration with the many existing database backup vendors.
Enhanced Profiling Opt-In - The Delphix team is making major investments to improve the speed and accuracy with which our data profiling algorithms can automatically discover sensitive data. We are looking for a select group of early adopters interested in trying out our latest enhancements and providing feedback to our team. One upcoming enhancement is type-based constraints for domain assignment and algorithm application. For example, this could be used to ensure an email domain is only assigned to a column that contains strings of a given minimum character length.
Tokenization Algorithm - The updated Tokenization V2 algorithm migrates the algorithm to our updated framework. Tokenization is often used to anonymize information allowing for analysis where a data scientist returns anonymized results to an authorized sensitive data handler. Tokenization enables hashed data to be reversed as compared to masking which is a one-way operation.
9-Digit Zip Code Masking Algorithm - Masking for full-length zip+4 has been updated to the latest Masking Algorithm SDK enabling benefits such as improved performance, algorithm chaining, and more. On engine upgrade, legacy algorithm instances will need to be upgraded.
Improved Masking Monitoring - Usability and troubleshooting improvements to the masking UI are being made to add search, filter by job type/status, and job display past the last 24 hours. Job reports have also improved to show total masking job times to help identify duration changes over time.
