    Announcing Delphix 6.0.16 & More!

We are excited to announce the general availability of Delphix 6.0.16, Data Control Tower 2.1, and Connector Plugins released in August and September 2022. Full details are available in the What's New Deck for 6.0.16, release notes for Continuous Data (virtualization) & Continuous Compliance (masking), and this community post.

Note: We have updated Delphix product names- virtualization will be referred to as "Continuous Data" and masking becomes "Continuous Compliance." Expect to see these changes reflected in product UI and supporting content.

    Delphix Cloud Engines on Azure

Delphix Cloud Engines on Azure: With the great customer adoption of Delphix Cloud Engines on AWS, we are now expanding Cloud Engines to Microsoft Azure. Cloud Engines helps organizations to optimize cost and performance for ephemeral data by leveraging cloud object storage combined with high-performance data caching.

    Data Control Tower 2.1

Data Control Tower 2.1: This release adds new administrative user interfaces for IT Operations teams to easily manage ongoing infrastructure and storage utilization for the DevOps Data Platform. Search APIs have been added for teams to easily find detailed information on VDBs, dSources, and Continuous Data Engines in large multicloud environments. Tagging APIs are also now available to logically group bookmarks and user accounts for simplified management and automation.

    Continuous Data

Cloud Engines Cache Resize: Delphix Cloud Engines introduced storing data in cost effective cloud object storage and caching data objects to high-speed storage to maintain consistent VDB performance. 6.0.16 enables on-the-fly resizing of engine cache to meet changing cost and performance demands.

Zero Trust Updates for SAP HANA: We have updated our SAP Connector to enable a least-privileged OS user on a target server to perform virtualization operations instead of a high-level privileged user. This helps to tighten security controls to meet more stringent policies required by InfoSec and IT Operations teams.

Non-admin password reset: Non-admin users are now able to reset their password when there is an associated email address. For organizations using LDAP or SSO, passwords will continue to be managed by those platforms.

Continuous Vault Improvements: We are enhancing security controls for Delphix Continuous Vault by enabling the locking of source engine dSources, alert profiles, and LogSync profiles.

Increased Mount Security: We have updated security controls by only allowing defined hosts mount access to Continuous Data Engines.

iSCSI Parameter Warnings: To ensure the ideal configuration of the iSCSI protocol when running Delphix with Microsoft SQL Server, Delphix Continuous Data Engines will review and warn customers of misconfigured iSCSI parameters. The automatic check runs on Target environments during Add, Refresh, and Enable operations.

    Data Control Tower

ServiceNow Integration Hub Spoke: Delphix actions are now available as reusable building blocks in the ServiceNow Integration Hub. Using the integration, DevOps automation teams can quickly deploy ephemeral data in their ServiceNow workflows in conjunction with their existing business rules, forms, and processes.

Admin UI for Infrastructure: There are new UI screens in Data Control Tower for managing and tagging Delphix Engine Infrastructure. IT Operations teams can check engine status, drill down on detailed information, and add/remove key-value tags.

Admin UI for Storage Capacity Monitoring: A new Admin UI has been added that visualizes the storage summary report. IT Operations teams will be able to track storage capacity changes in real-time across engines, identify if an engine reaches a capacity threshold and take action, and inventory dSource and VDB objects on each engine.

Tags for Accounts and Bookmarks: Tags are now available for user accounts and bookmarks for IT Operations teams to easily manage complex multicloud environments.

Search APIs: Teams can now quickly search for detailed information on VDBs, dSources, and Continuous Data Engine Storage Reports using search APIs.

    Mulitcloud & Apps

OAuth 2.0 for SFDC Compliance Accelerator: We have improved security controls for Delphix Compliance Accelerator for Salesforce by enabling OAuth 2.0 connections. Delphix Compliance Accelerator makes it easy for IT Operations and Compliance teams to quickly identify sensitive data, assign masking algorithms, and deliver fresh compliant test data to Dev/Test/QA sandbox environments.

Beginning with 6.0.16.0, customers whose cases have been associated with product issues will be directly notified of fixes, and customers who have submitted enhancement requests will also be directly notified of delivered enhancements. For a complete list of features and fixes, please see the release notes. If you have questions about Delphix 6.0.16, please visit our community site and our support site. Delphix 6.0.16 is immediately available to download for new installs and images in Cloud Marketplaces may trail the release by up to two weeks.
